These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Clipboard Chronicle ("the Software"), a macOS clipboard manager application developed and distributed by Numenor Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. License
Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use Clipboard Chronicle on your personal devices. This license includes:
- One-time purchase with lifetime access
- Free updates for the lifetime of the product
- Use for personal and commercial purposes
- Installation on multiple devices owned by you
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose
- Share your license with others
4. Intellectual Property
Clipboard Chronicle and all associated intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of Numenor Studio. Your clipboard data and any content you store using the Software remains entirely yours. We claim no ownership or rights to your data.
5. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is fundamental to how we built Clipboard Chronicle:
- 100% Local: All clipboard data is stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- No Accounts: We don't require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the Software.
- No Analytics: We don't track your usage, collect telemetry, or gather any behavioral data.
- No Cloud Sync: Your clipboard history never leaves your device.
- You Control Your Data: You can delete your clipboard history at any time directly within the app.
Payment Processing: Payments are securely processed by Paddle.com. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects necessary payment information according to theirPrivacy Policy. We only receive confirmation of your purchase and a license key—we never see your payment details.
6. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases:
- Request a refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason
- No questions asked
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Paddle
To request a refund, contact us at support@numenor.studio with your order number. Upon refund, your license will be deactivated.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Numenor Studio be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the Software.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
